Sustentability

In line with best sustainability practices, we seek to mitigate environmental impacts on our operations. Our environmental management relates not only to the measurement and management of the solid waste we produce, but also to the rules for adequate waste disposal and the adequate and rational use of energy and water.

The solid waste we produce is disposed pursuant to applicable law and regulations regarding the correct destination, transport and final disposal.

Additionally, we follow the specific rules and procedures set forth in the Health Care Waste Management Plan (Plano de Gerenciamento de Resíduos de Serviços de Saúde), or PGRSS, which sets forth the guidelines for collection, transport and final disposal of each type of waste, pursuant to ANVISA Board Resolution – RDC No. 306, dated December 7, 2004, or ANVISA Resolution – RDC No. 306, dated December 7, 2004, the National Solid Waste Policy (Federal Law No. 12,305, dated August 2, 2010), CONAMA Resolution No. 358, dated April 29, 2005, and other applicable federal, state and municipal laws.

The solid waste we produce is disposed according to the classification of Health Care Waste (Resíduos de Serviços de Saúde), or RSS, which groups waste according to the potential risks it may pose to public health and the environment, pursuant to applicable law.
